Lincoln might be known for its historic cathedral and cobbled streets — but don’t let the old bricks fool you. Come Friday night, the city transforms into a neon blur of pints, playlists, and poor life choices… and at the heart of it all?
Superbull at Home nightclub.
As a third-year journalism student with a not-so-healthy attendance record at Bull, I thought it was time to put pen to paper (or fingers to keys) and answer the ultimate question:
Is Superbull really the best student night out in Lincoln?
Every Friday, Lincoln’s biggest student rave takes over Home nightclub on Park Street — and when I say big, I mean “get-there-before-11-or-be-stuck-in-the-queue-for-ages” big.
Superbull is a mash-up of cheap drinks, two floors of music, themed nights, inflatable animals (seriously), confetti cannons, and everyone you’ve ever met on campus in one building.
It’s chaos. It’s sweaty. It’s kind of iconic.
Upstairs – Think cheesy bangers, club classics, and guilty pleasures. From ABBA to Sean Paul, if you’ve danced to it at pres, it’s here.
Downstairs – It’s giving bassline, DnB, and UK house. Darker, louder, and usually packed with sports teams in fancy dress.
Personally? I float between both, depending on how many Jägerbombs I’ve had.
Superbull is a student-budget blessing. Expect:
£2–£2.50 spirits and mixers
£1.50 shots
Deals on VKs and bombs (every fluorescent flavour imaginable)
Bulk offers if you’re brave or already tipsy
It’s laid-back. You’ll see:
Girls in corsets and cargos
Boys in vintage football shirts or full-on fancy dress
A worrying number of cowboy hats on themed nights
The crowd is 90% students — mostly from the University of Lincoln and Bishop Grosseteste, with the occasional brave fresher or rogue grad tagging along for “one last Bull.”
You’ll wake up with:
Glitter in places you didn’t know could sparkle
Half a kebab in your bag
A dozen blurry Snap stories and tagged pics on the Superbull Insta
10/10 would recommend.
If you’re a student in Lincoln, Superbull isn’t just a night out — it’s a rite of passage. It’s messy, cheap, loud, and absolutely unforgettable (except for the bits you forget).
Whether it’s your first term or final year, you have to do Bull at least once. Just remember to get your tickets early, hydrate between rounds, and never — I repeat, never — lose your friends downstairs.
Buy tickets online – they do sell out
Arrive before 11:30 – queues are serious business
Pace yourself – it’s a marathon, not a sprint
Pre in moderation – entry security is tight
Check the theme – nobody wants to be the only one not in costume
📅 Every Friday
📍 Home Nightclub, Park Street, Lincoln
🎵 Two rooms, DJs, live performers, giveaways
At Student Housing, we’ve got student houses and rooms walking distance from Home nightclub — so you can stumble home safely after Bull and be in bed by 3am (after ordering Domino’s, obviously).
